SereFlex® is a proprietary non-Newtonian fluid that is comprised of a mixture of viscous fluids and inert, energy absorbing microparticles packaged in a flexible polymeric substrate, that provides impact reduction, shear relief, ergonomic comfort and trauma mitigation. 

This innovative approach to particle movement and their response to the applied force makes SereFlex® suitable for a wide range of applications such as seatings, footwear, protective gear and body armor, vibration damping and acoustic substrates, protective cases, and prosthetics.

SereFlex® padding technology exhibits a combination of visco-elastic and thixotropic behaviors, forming a gel structure over time when not subject to shearing and then liquefies when agitated. Tested by the US Navy* and designed to reduce impact on the body and substrates, SereFlex® provides comfort and diminishes impact when force is applied.
